Steps
- 1. File charge with EEOC (online at publicportal.eeoc.gov, in person, or by mail)
- 2. EEOC notifies employer within 10 days
- 3. Mediation may be offered
- 4. Investigation (EEOC may request evidence, position statements, witness interviews)
- 5. Determination: Cause / No Cause / Right-to-Sue letter
- 6. If Right-to-Sue: 90 days to file federal lawsuit
